ACTIVE OLDER ADULTS

Aging Well Together

Maintain health and functional ability with programs designed especially for the needs of older adults.

 

The Y has fitness classes specifically designed for older adults. They give participants an opportunity to stay physically active or in some cases, to overcome their fear of exercise and begin being physically active.

 

Y Active Older Adult Fitness programs accommodate a wide variety of interests and functional abilities of older adults. Active Older Adults classes include, Strength and Conditioning, Yoga, Swimming, Aqua Aerobics and Enhance Fitness.

 

Active Older Adults can also take part in our SECOND TIME AROUND  water therapy program with Juliet Tardy.

Chili Cookoff

 

Participants in our Healthy Aging Program will be going head to head to win the title of chili master! If you are a participant in the Healthy Aging program and are entering the contest the admission is free! Chili must be your own (no store bought) homemade recipe only and quantity must fill a 6 quart crock pot.
